July 8 Vallejo City Council Podcast

7/9/14  The VIB News Attack  is back for the July 8 meeting of  the Vallejo City Council with Anne Carr and Marc Garman. In this episode, we discuss meeting highlights, what’s going on in the city and we answer several burning questions:

  1. Why is councilmember Verder-Aliga causing Anne Carr to wear a palm shaped furrow in her forehead?
  2. Which councilmember is pushing hard to put a casino on the north end of Mare Island?
  3. What does the rumor mill tell us of political plans churning in the JumpStart camp for the 2016 election…heard from a fly on the back of a cockroach hanging on the wall at a super secret undisclosed location…

JUICY!

Anne & Marc – wonderful! I usually avoid audio/video stuff, but you’ve done this nicely. Concise, and with good humor. Thanks for going into that butt-numbing chamber to bring back the goods.

Thank you John_K! In a 15-minute audio-cast, we can only hit the highlights, but hope to at least bring you the top news, along with a wee bit of commentary, and yes, a few laughs, too. Hands-free, and snack-size news about the City!

It is my sincere hope that the Vallejo world is paying attention and listening to your podcasts regarding the City Council meetings. Anne Carr and Marc Garman capture the important essence of each and every city council meeting. They both make the meetings pop and come alive each and every time. Both of them deliver the information in a concise, fun, interactive and engaging way. They make it seem very easy, but the fact of the matter is that they must pay strict attention during the meetings, review the agendas prior to the meeting, and be fully versed in the affairs of Vallejo through much work and research. It is not an easy task, and I for one greatly appreciate their efforts. Therefore I offer humble thanks and shall do my very best to spread the word about these informative sessions. That said, here’s to the Mira Theater roof. We volunteered there for many, many years. We shall see you at the Fall waterfront festival fundraiser for this worthy cause! Verder-Aliga for Mayor?? Remember that she was president of the school board when they made their deep descent into bankruptcy. Ergo, that would be a fitting fit for a second time around for our dear little jewel of a city by the bay.
